Our Story
Silk Road Dance Academy is a nonprofit organization based in Overland Park, Kansas.
We are a passionate and fun group of dancers specializing in Chinese traditional and folk dances.
China has more than 5000 years of history and over 50 ethnicities. We get a glimpse of China's
rich history through learning the many different styles of dance. Every dance is specially choreographed
for the academy by a leading Chinese artist.
We aspire to promote Chinese culture and art in the
communities and enrich our members' lives. We would love to be the Silk Road that brings you a piece of China.

Lily ZhangLi Taylor (张丽) is a very talented dancer, choreographer, and teacher. She is an award winning, first-class performing artist in China, and she has played the lead roles in many famous dance performances, such as "Road of Silk, Rain of Flowers" ("丝路花雨"). Every dance she choreographs is unique and exciting, and we get the chance to work directly with her on all the dances. We feel honored and privileged to have such a respected and outstanding artist like Ms. Zhang as our teacher and choreographer. |
